Spring is in the air.

Oh yes, Spring is in the air and it's time to change out those Winter purses to your Spring ones.
I love that I can go into my studio and have my pick of my One of a Kind Purses to choose from.
I picked this great purse made from this fun and cheery fabric by Heather Bailey. Don't you just  love the colors?
Notice the two different colors of Swarovski Crystals and the vintage Glass Glitter in the shade of Indian Summer. Oh what fun to embellish. One can't have too much sparkle in their life.

I think there is chemical in glitter that is addicting.

Seriously, I have had more fun with this Art Glitter.
I have done cards, clothes, and my purses with Art Glitter, my whole house just sparkles.
Really, there is glitter everywhere, but I love it.
I originally got into the Art Glitter to add more bling to my purses, but after spending an afternoon at the Art Glitter Academy up in Cottonwood AZ., the glittering process has been endless.
Take a look at the old, cut off pair of jeans I jazzed up for my daughter Amanda.

More fun with Art Glitter

I just couldn't wait to share the fun glittering techniques with my daughter Amanda.
We had so much fun today making glitter cards for Card for Cancer. Cards for Cancer is a great program that distributes Get Well cards and Well Wishes Cards to Cancer patients.
Look at all the great cards we made.

A day with Gliltter is a day of sunshine and happiness !!!

What a day we had !!!!
Today a group of us headed up north to Cottonwood Arizona.
A small, cute town just 2 hours north of Phoenix.  Just off of Main street is the second happiest place on earth. It is the home of Art Glitter.
From the moment you walk through the glittered front door, you are in crafters heaven.  My mind had no idea of what you could do with glitter. Our wonderful teacher Nancy, taught us how to make a laced embellished card, a fabric embellished tag, and a beautiful embellished butterfly.

Barbara Trombley, the President of Art Glitter, was there to show us all of her breath taking creations and even autographed her book. We definitely will be dreaming in sparkles and glitter tonight and many more nights to come. Check back and see all the wonderful project embellished with Art Glitter.
Take a moment and check out their wonderful site, just follow the link on the left side bar, you will be happy you did.

Life takes way too much of my sewing time !!!

I know there should be a equal balance somewhere, but darn if I can find it.
Anyway, off to the post office to send out two packages, first one is a Book bag/Craft bag.
This bag is going to be used to carry rug hooking materials. I know someone is going to rug hooking group in style. I made several different size pockets to accommodate all the different tools.

The second package is off to Michigan for my cousin Maria and her daughter. They wanted a Mommy and Me tote. I hope I get a picture to post with both of them carrying their totes.  How cute would that be?
